I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose actually goes beyond football. This program has taught me things I’ll need in real life: responsibility, accountability and discipline.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the crowd. When everybody comes out and fills the stands, it creates that Friday Night Lights atmosphere that makes playing football in Glen Rose special.
Coach Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player, especially because of the criticism he’s given me. Sometimes the people who make the biggest impact aren't the ones who tell you what you want to hear. They’re the ones willing to tell you where you need to improve and then expect you to do something about it.
That’s something football has taught me that I’ll carry long after high school: take responsibility and hold yourself accountable. You have to own what you do, learn from it and keep working.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making varsity. My teammates would probably describe me as hardworking, and outside of football, one thing I really enjoy is boxing.
Who's funny?
Ethan Martinez is the funniest guy on the team.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom. She has always been there for me, especially during some of my lowest moments. When I’ve struggled, she has helped guide me through it and get back on my feet. Having someone who doesn't disappear when things get difficult means everything, and I’m grateful that she has always been that person for me.

I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is getting better alongside my teammates. You’re surrounded by guys who are putting in the same work you are, and everybody is pushing each other to improve.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is our supporters. Seeing everybody in the stands and knowing the community is behind us makes all the work during the week worth it.
Coach Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player because he pushed me to become the player I am today. Football has taught me that when things get hard, you have to find a way. You don't stop working just because something isn't easy.
Making varsity is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. My teammates would probably describe me as hardworking and someone who gives good effort, and outside of football, I also compete in track.
Before games, I pray, and my go-to pregame song is “Through the Storm” by NBA YoungBoy. After the game, I’m going with Mexican food.
Ethan Martinez gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark controls the locker room music, and if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, apparently I trust Clark enough to bring him along too.
Riot Sullivan?
You’re not dating my sister.
Riot also gets my vote for the guy who talks the most trash at practice. Kaiden Shannon is my pick for most likely to become famous, and if the zombie apocalypse ever happens, I’m sticking with Big Mike. A 295-pound state powerlifter playing nose tackle seems like a pretty solid person to have around when things go bad.
If I weren’t playing football, I’d dominate volleyball.
And something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me?
I love food.
That's it. No complicated secret. I just really like to eat.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means working hard every day, even when it isn't easy. Anybody can work when things are going well. Football has taught me to keep going when they aren't, and to always find a way.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is how hard our workouts push us. Going through that work together makes all of us grow closer, and I think that’s a big part of what makes our team what it is. I’ve played football for five years, and one of the biggest things it has taught me is how to be a leader.
Starting on varsity is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. My teammates would probably describe me as hardworking, and I think that comes from being around coaches who have expected a lot out of me. Coach Old Pair, Young Pair, Byrd and Dingler have all had a big influence on me. They’ve pushed me for a long time to get better every day, but they also make it fun to show up and put in the work.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the fans. When you’ve spent all week working and preparing, having that crowd there supporting you makes Friday night that much better.
Before the game, I have to make my walk around the goal post. My go-to pregame song is “Y NOT?” by LUCKI, and after the game I’m looking for something from Whataburger or Chili’s.
Now, when it comes to my teammates, Gage gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, and he’s also who I’d want with me if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere. Clark controls the locker room music, and he is definitely not dating my sister. Judd talks the most trash at practice, and apparently I don’t see anybody on this team becoming famous, so good luck to all of us.
If there’s a zombie apocalypse, though, I’m taking myself. I’m surviving the longest.
Outside of football, I’m in track and baseball, and I enjoy golf, fishing and pickleball. Actually, if football wasn’t an option, I’d dominate pickleball. Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I’m really good at it. So apparently everyone has been warned.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing up when it gets hard. It’s easy to be there when everything is going your way. What matters is whether you keep showing up and doing the work when it isn’t.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my parents. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. They’ve always been there for me, supported me and made sure I had the tools and opportunities I needed to become the best I could be. A lot of what I’ve been able to accomplish is because I’ve always had them behind me, and I’m grateful for everything they’ve done for me.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is the winning atmosphere. I’ve played football for five years, and being part of a program where winning is expected has helped teach me how to become a strong and vocal leader.
Becoming the varsity quarterback and working my way into a leadership position is something I’m really proud of. My teammates would describe me as a leader, and that’s something I take seriously. Playing quarterback means people are looking to you, whether things are going great or everything is going wrong, and football has taught me how important it is to be someone others can count on.
Jeff Pair has had the biggest influence on me because of how much he genuinely cares. You can tell when someone is just doing their job and when someone truly cares about the people around them, and with him, it’s genuine.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is actually one of the newer additions, the lights flashing after we score a touchdown. There’s something pretty awesome about putting one in the end zone and watching the whole stadium come alive.
We also have a pregame ritual where we walk around the goal post and rub the pole. My go-to pregame song is “Shot Callin” by NBA YoungBoy, and after the game, I’m good with pretty much anything as long as there’s Chick-fil-A sauce involved.
Now for the important stuff. Diego Flores gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark Anderson controls the locker room music, and Clark is also the guy I’m not letting date my sister. Ty talks the most trash at practice, and if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Ty Simmons there with me.
Most likely to become famous? Clark or me. I’m not ruling myself out.
If football didn’t exist, apparently I’d dominate foosball, although calling foosball a sport might start an entirely different argument. And when it comes to surviving a zombie apocalypse, I don't know who is making it to the end, but I do know one thing: definitely not Kaiden.
Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I have an extremely large Star Wars LEGO collection. And it doesn’t stop with the LEGOs. I’m a complete nerd when it comes to Star Wars lore and pretty much everything about it.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being a winner.

I’ve been playing football for 10 years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is being able to compete alongside all of my teammates. There’s nothing quite like Friday night at Tiger Stadium, especially when you can see the stands packed and hear all the fans supporting us.
Coach Pair, Coach Dingler and Coach Byrd have had a big influence on me as a player. They have high expectations for us, but they also make the game of football fun. Having coaches who expect your best while still making you enjoy showing up every day makes you want to work even harder.
That’s probably one of the biggest lessons football has taught me: you have to work hard because nothing is going to be handed to you. Being able to play varsity football is something I’m proud of because I know the work it took to get there. My teammates would probably describe me as humble, and outside of football, I also compete in track.
My go-to pregame song is “Grace,” and my postgame meal is about as practical as it gets, a granola bar and some kind of electrolytes.
Zane gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark controls the locker room music, is the guy I’m not letting date my sister and is my pick for most likely to become famous. If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Ty with me. Kaiden talks the most trash at practice, although I’m also picking Kaiden to survive the longest in a zombie apocalypse, so maybe all that talking serves a purpose.
If football wasn’t an option, I’d dominate track. And something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I’m pretty good at foosball.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way around whatever gets put in front of you and being mentally and physically tough.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom. She has made so many sacrifices for me and has taken time out of her own day to get me to practices, make sure I have everything I need and give me every opportunity to be the best I can be. Most importantly, she has always shown up. Seeing her at my games and knowing she’s there supporting me means more than she probably realizes. I wouldn’t be where I am without everything she has done for me.

I’ve been playing football for 10 years, and one of the things I love most about playing for Glen Rose is how involved our community gets with us as players. You can see how much pride people have in this team, and it makes you proud to be one of the guys who gets to represent Glen Rose on Friday nights.
My favorite part of Friday night is running out of the tunnel and feeling the atmosphere in Tiger Stadium. After everything you’ve done all week to prepare, that’s the moment when it becomes real. You run out, see the crowd and know it’s time to play football.
My parents have had the biggest influence on me because they’ve always made sure I had everything I needed throughout school and all the years I’ve played football. Their support has given me the opportunity to keep doing something I love.
Football has taught me to learn from my mistakes and do better the next chance I get. You’re going to mess up. The important part is what you do afterward. That probably goes along with the accomplishment I’m most proud of: never giving up.
Football is my sport, and my teammates would probably describe me as team-oriented. I care about the guys around me and doing whatever I can to help the team.
As for game day, apparently I have one piece of equipment that has earned a permanent roster spot. I have to wear the same compression shirt every game. At this point, I’m not risking finding out what happens if I don't.
Zane Myers gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark Anderson controls the locker room music, and he’s also the guy I’m not letting date my sister. If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Zarek Bell with me. And Clark gets another vote when it comes to the guy most likely to become famous.
After the game, there’s no debate about the meal: a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich from Whataburger.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means excelling on and off the field. What you do on Friday night matters, but so does the person you are when nobody is watching.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my Mimi. She has shown me what it means to be strong and taught me not to give up when things get hard. That lesson has stayed with me in football and in life, and it’s something I’ll continue carrying with me long after I play my last game.

I’ve been playing football for seven years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is getting the opportunity to play alongside my friends while being part of a winning program. There’s something different about getting to compete with guys you’ve grown up with and knowing everybody is working toward the same goal.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is all the fans. Glen Rose shows up for football, and having that kind of support in the stands makes Friday nights special.
One of the biggest lessons football has taught me is to find a way to get something done even when it’s tough. Things aren't always going to go your way, and sometimes you have to push through things you didn't expect. You figure it out and keep going.
I guess I’ve taken that lesson pretty literally, because something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I once played for two weeks on a broken leg.
So when my teammates describe me as a tough kid who works hard, there might actually be some evidence behind that one.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making varsity as a sophomore. Outside of football, I’m also involved in track, and I work at the golf course.
Now for the important information: Ethan gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, Kaiden talks the most trash at practice, and I’m giving Gage control of the locker room music.
As for who I wouldn't let date my sister?
Nobody.
Apparently the entire Glen Rose football roster has been eliminated from consideration. No interviews. No appeals. The position is closed.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being part of something not everybody gets the opportunity to experience. There’s something special about playing football in Glen Rose, and getting the chance to be part of this program with my friends is something I’ll always remember.

I’ve been playing football for seven years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the chemistry we have as a team. There’s a connection that gets built when you spend that much time working together, and that’s a big part of what makes this program special.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is how loud the crowd gets. When the stadium is packed and everybody gets going, you can feel that energy on the field. It reminds you how many people are behind you and how much Glen Rose cares about its Tigers.
Coach Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player because of his leadership. That’s also one of the biggest things football has taught me that I’ll carry with me after high school. Leadership isn't just about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about how you carry yourself, how you work and what you do when other people are counting on you.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of actually happened outside of football. I gave a speech in my public speaking class about mental health. Standing in front of people and talking about something that matters takes a different kind of confidence, and I’m proud that I did it.
Outside of football, I’m also in band. My teammates would probably describe me as determined, and after seven years of football, I think determination has played a pretty big role in getting me to my senior season.
I didn't answer many of the teammate questions, but apparently there was one that required absolutely no hesitation.
Funniest guy on the team?
Definitely Ethan Martinez.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means everything. It’s the teammates, coaches, Friday nights, the people in the stands and getting the opportunity to represent Glen Rose.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom and dad. No matter what the circumstances have been, they’ve always stood beside me. Knowing that I have two people who will support me through the good times and the difficult ones has meant more than I can say. I’m thankful for everything they’ve done for me and for always being there when I needed them.

I’ve only been playing football for two years, but what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the chemistry between everyone. Football has shown me that some of the people you meet through the game can turn into lifelong friendships, and that’s something I’ll carry with me after high school.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the fans. Having that support around you and seeing everybody show up for us makes playing on Friday night that much better.
Coach Pair has had the biggest influence on me, and it goes way beyond football. He was there for me during some of my hardest times and believed in me when I felt like nobody else did. Having a coach believe in you like that can change a lot more than the kind of player you become.
My teammates would probably describe me as strong-minded and somebody who always has their back. That chemistry and loyalty between teammates is one of the biggest reasons I enjoy being part of this team.
Football may be relatively new for me, but track definitely isn't. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished there, and I compete with AP Ranch Track Club outside of school. If I weren’t playing football, there’s no question what sport I’d dominate: track and field.
Before a game, I’ve got to have my skull cap. For music, give me pretty much anything by NBA YoungBoy. Afterward, I’m going with chicken.
Zane gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark controls the locker room music, and Clark is also the guy I’m not letting date my sister. If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Judd with me. Nate talks the most trash at practice, and Cannon is my pick for most likely to become famous.
Zombie apocalypse?
Me. I'm surviving the longest.
Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I’m a really good cook. So if the whole football and track thing doesn't work out, apparently Hollywood has options.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way. Whether it’s football, track or life, things aren't always going to go how you planned. You keep going, trust the people around you and find a way through it.

I’m going into my sixth year of playing football, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is that I get pushed to be better. There’s always an expectation to improve, work harder and find a way to get better than you were the day before.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the atmosphere in the stands. Having that many people there supporting us adds something to the game that you just can’t recreate anywhere else.
Coach Byrd has had the biggest influence on me as a player. Being around coaches who push you and expect more out of you is a big part of what makes this program what it is.
Football has also taught me a very simple life lesson: “Life sucks, so deal with it.”
Maybe it’s not going on an inspirational poster anytime soon, but it gets the point across. Things are going to be hard sometimes. Complaining about it isn’t going to change anything, so you deal with it and keep moving.
As far as accomplishments go, I’m proud to report that I got a tackle in football. For a 6'4" corner, I feel like everyone should be relieved to know this.
Outside of football, I work at Taco Bell. Dilly gets my vote for the guy who talks the most trash at practice, and after a game, I’m keeping the meal simple: give me a burger.
Ask my teammates how they’d describe me?
I don’t know.
I’m apparently leaving that one completely up to them.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way. Things aren't always going to be easy or go according to plan. You figure it out, keep working and find a way through it.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom. She’s encouraged me throughout my life and has always pushed me to be better. Having someone who believes in you but also expects you to keep growing has helped shape the person I am. I’ve been playing football for four years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the intensity our coaches and players bring every day. Everybody expects a lot out of each other, and that pushes you to work harder and become a better player.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the train horn and the flag runners after every touchdown. There’s nothing quite like scoring, hearing that horn go off and seeing the flags running across the field. That’s one of those things that makes playing at Tiger Stadium special.
My dad has had the biggest influence on me. Even though he didn't play a lot of football himself, he has always been there for me and given me advice when I needed it most. You don't have to know everything about the game to know your son, and having him there to support me has meant a lot.
One of the biggest things football has taught me is that hard work beats talent. Talent can only take you so far. Eventually, it comes down to who is willing to put in the work.
I’m also proud that I’ve been able to maintain an A average in all of my classes. Outside of football, I play baseball, love trucks and work at Glen Rose Nutrition.
As for my teammates, Ethan gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. Clark controls the locker room music, which might be the least surprising answer in this entire series considering almost everybody has said it.
And Clark?
You’re not dating my sister either.
At this point, I’m starting to think Clark’s dating options are becoming extremely limited.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way. When things get difficult, you don't look for an excuse. You work harder, figure it out and find a way through it.

I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is getting to play with all my friends and getting better together. My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the band and, pretty simply, getting to play football.
My dad has had the biggest influence on me. He’s always been there for me and supported me through everything. Having someone consistently in your corner makes a difference, especially through all the years it takes to get to your senior season.
The biggest thing football has taught me is work ethic. Getting better doesn't just happen. You have to show up, practice, put in the time and keep working.
Outside of football, I like fishing and playing video games.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being respectful and responsible. Football is about more than what happens on Friday nights. It’s about how you carry yourself and how you represent the people around you.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my dad. He’s been special to me my entire life and has always been there. I’ve been playing football for two years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the brotherhood. It doesn’t matter what position you play or how long you’ve been part of the program, you’re working toward the same goal with the guys around you.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the adrenaline. There’s just something different about being under the lights with the crowd in the stands and knowing it’s time to compete.
The coaches have had the biggest influence on me, both as a player and as a person, because they hold me accountable to what they know I’m capable of. Sometimes you need people who aren't going to let you settle for less than your best, and that has helped me grow.
One of the biggest things football has taught me is that there is always a way. Things aren't always going to go exactly as planned, but that doesn't mean you quit. You adjust, keep working and find a way.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is winning state in ATMS through FFA. Outside of football, I’m involved in cross country, FFA and track. My teammates would probably describe me as relaxed, which may not be the worst personality trait to have when your job involves kicking a football with everybody in the stadium watching you.
My go-to pregame song is “Feliz Feliz” by Mi Banda El Mexicano. And if I weren’t playing football?
I’d be dominating in... football.

My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is our fans. Win or lose, the people in the stands are always cheering and going wild for us. That kind of support makes Friday nights in Glen Rose different.
My mom has had the biggest influence on the person I’ve become. As a football player, Coach Pair has also had a huge influence on me and on why I work as hard as I do. Between the two of them, I’ve learned a lot about the kind of person and player I want to be.
Football has taught me to find a way to persevere through the tough times, no matter what life throws at me, and to always have fun while doing it. There are going to be hard days. That doesn't mean you stop enjoying the opportunity you have in front of you.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making varsity as a sophomore. Outside of football, I stay pretty busy with baseball, track, powerlifting and band. My teammates would probably describe me as resilient, hardworking and tough.

I’ve been playing football for eight years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is how much this team feels like a second family. You spend so much time together working toward the same goals that the relationships become a big part of what makes playing football special.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is running out of the tunnel before the game. There’s a lot of work that goes into getting to that moment, and when you finally run out and feel the energy from the stadium, you know it’s time to play.
Braydon Brewton has had a big influence on me as a player. He took me under his wing when I was a freshman, and having an older player willing to do that for me made an impact. It showed me how important it is to look out for the guys around you.
Football has taught me to keep fighting even when things get hard or don't go my way. You’re going to face adversity, and you can't control everything that happens. What you can control is whether you keep working.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is being part of a team that made it to the state semifinals. That's an experience I’ll always remember.
My teammates would probably describe me as hardworking. Outside of football, I like to fish and game, so I’m perfectly happy doing something outdoors or sitting in front of a screen.
I didn't answer many of the teammate questions, but I did settle one important debate: Ethan is the funniest guy on the team. And after a game, I'm going with Chick-fil-A.

I’ve been playing football since seventh grade, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is all the love you get. There’s a lot of support around this program, and my favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the energy that comes with it.
Coach Dingler and Coach Byrd have had the biggest influence on me as a player. They’re my position coaches, and they’ve always tried to push me as much as they can. One of the biggest things football has taught me is to push yourself as much as you can, even when you think you don't have much left.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of actually has nothing to do with football: I built my truck on my own. I like working on and fixing cars, and outside of football I’m also involved in basketball and track.
My teammates would probably describe me as funny.
And based on these bios, I apparently have evidence.
I’m not sure if anybody has been keeping count, but my name has come up a lot when these guys are asked who the funniest player on the team is. So I appreciate everyone finally recognizing what I already knew.
But if I have to pick somebody besides myself, I’m going with Deansdale.
Riot is the guy I’m not letting date my sister, Clark controls the locker room music too much.
My go-to pregame song is “Jump” by NBA YoungBoy.
I left the rest of the teammate questions unanswered. Sometimes it's better to know when you've said enough.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being tough. I may be 5'6" and 132 pounds playing strong safety, but football isn't about being the biggest guy on the field.
It’s about being willing to play like you belong there.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is the intensity we bring to everything we do and the love we have for each other as a team. I’ve been playing football for five years, and being part of this team is something I’m proud of.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is getting the chance to go compete in something I love doing. Having the crowd there and hearing everyone behind us just makes it that much better.
My coaches have had the biggest influence on me because they don’t just build football players, they build people. Football has taught me how to be a man, but it’s also taught me how to find a way to get crap done when crap hits the fan. Things aren’t always going to go your way, and you have to figure out how to keep going anyway.
Outside of football, I work at Funky Monkey. My teammates would probably describe me as someone who is always happy, and I think that fits me pretty well.
As far as the locker room goes, Clark controls the music. And there’s one thing I apparently don’t have to think very hard about: Riot is NOT dating my sister.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way to be great.

I’ve been playing football for 10 years, and one of the things I love most about playing for Glen Rose is how committed our coaches are to making us better every single day. My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is seeing the student section. Having your classmates there supporting you brings another level of energy to the game.
My family has had the biggest influence on me, especially my dad and grandpa. They’ve helped shape the person and player I am today. Coach Pair has also had a huge impact on me by teaching me to work hard and never be soft when things get difficult.
Football has taught me that things aren't always going to go your way. You’re going to mess up sometimes, but you have to learn from it, get better and keep working. More importantly, it has taught me the importance of being there for the people around you.
I’m proud of how much I’ve grown, both as a football player and as a person. I’ve worked hard to improve myself and earn playing time, and I’m proud that I’ve continued pushing myself even when things haven't gone the way I wanted them to.
Outside of football, I compete in track and spend a lot of my free time with friends and family, listening to music and watching football. My teammates would probably describe me as pretty quiet, competitive and hardworking. I like to have fun and joke around, especially with Jack Jewett, but I’m also always trying to get better.
Before a game, my routine requires two things: a White Monster and a Snickers. My go-to pregame song is “Click Click Boom” by Saliva, and after the game, I’m going with a good burger and fries.
Kaiden Shannon gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, while Jack Jewett talks the most trash at practice. Clark Anderson controls the locker room music, Judd Connally is my pick for most likely to become famous, and Torren Coonrod isn't dating my sister.
If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Gage Diaz beside me. If the zombie apocalypse hits, though, I’m putting my money on Cross Littlejohn to survive the longest. If football wasn’t an option, I think I’d dominate wrestling.
Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is how much I enjoy music. I listen to a lot of R&B and older music.
Oh, and my favorite color is pink.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means representing something bigger than yourself, working hard for the people beside you and finding a way when things get difficult.

I’ve been playing football for eight years, and one of my favorite things about playing for Glen Rose is making the fans go crazy. Friday nights are special when you look into the stands and see the community wearing red, then look around the field and see your teammates getting hyped and ready to play.
My dad has had the biggest influence on me. I’m not the biggest guy on the field, but he has always believed in me and pushed me to get better. Football has taught me that you have to find a way, keep working and earn what you get. Nothing is just going to be given to you.
That means even more to me because one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making varsity and earning a starting position. At 5'9" and 175 pounds, I know I'm not what most people picture when they think of a defensive tackle. I’ve had times when I felt doubted because of my size and times when I got thrown around, but I kept working.
My teammates would probably describe me with one word:
Crazy.
I’ll take it.
I only answered one of the teammate questions, and all I wrote was “Clark, 100 percent.” I didn't specify which question I was answering, so I’m going to leave that mystery exactly where it belongs. Clark knows.
When I’m asked what being a Glen Rose Tiger means to me, my answer is simple:
A lot.
For my senior year, I especially want to thank Coach Cordova and Old Man Pair. They believed I could become a leader on the defensive line, even during the times when I doubted myself. They’ve helped me mature, taught me to keep finding ways to work and pushed me to become a better man. There were times when I wanted to give up and times when I felt like people doubted me because I was smaller and could get thrown around. Instead of letting me accept that, they helped me get better.
I may not be the biggest defensive tackle on the field, but they helped teach me that being undersized doesn't mean you have to play undersized.

I’ve played football for seven years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is being able to see my potential. Football gives me a chance to find out what I’m capable of and how much further I can push myself.
My favorite part of Friday night at Tiger Stadium is pretty straightforward: I get to play ball. That’s what all the work during the week is for.
As a player, my good friend Ryler Kersh has had a big influence on me and taught me to play hard. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from football is that whatever you’re doing, give it your greatest effort, even when you’re dog tired. Effort is something you can control no matter how tired you are or how difficult things get.
One accomplishment I’m really proud of is making the A Honor Roll. Outside of football, I work as a waiter and as an auto mechanic. My teammates would probably describe me as strong-willed, creative, short and smart. I'm 5'7¾", though, so let's make sure that extra three-quarters of an inch gets the respect it deserves.
Carson Mills gets my vote for funniest guy on the team. I don’t have a sister, but apparently that isn’t stopping me from answering the dating question. Hudson Hall and Slaton Ghazal aren't getting anywhere near my hypothetical sister.
Kaiden Shannon and Jack Jewett control the locker room music. If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Cooper Hernandez with me. Hudson Hall is probably the biggest trash talker at practice, although I’m apparently not fully committing to that answer.
Most likely to become famous? Goob...aka Ty Simmons.
If football wasn’t an option, I’d dominate powerlifting. My ideal postgame meal is shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, and if a zombie apocalypse ever happens, I’m not relying on anybody else.
I’m surviving the longest.
Something Tiger fans might not know about me is simple: I really love football. After seven years of playing, I still love getting out there and playing the game.
For my senior shout-out, I really want to say something to everyone who has been part of the journey: live your life the best you can and make an impact on others. Whether that impact is on one person, a team, an organization or something bigger, try to leave something better because you were part of it.

I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the community. That’s also what makes Friday nights at Tiger Stadium special to me, the fans. Having that many people show up and support us makes you realize you’re playing for something bigger than just the guys on the field.
Coach Old Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player, mainly because he yells at me in a nice way. I’m not exactly sure how he manages to pull that off, but somehow he does.
Football has taught me to keep pushing even when things get tough. There are going to be days when you’re tired, frustrated or things just aren't going your way, but you can't stop. You have to keep moving forward.
When I was asked about an accomplishment I’m proud of, my answer was pretty simple: just making it to my senior year of high school. Sometimes we focus so much on awards and accomplishments that we forget getting to this point is an accomplishment of its own.
Outside of football, I’m involved in culinary, so apparently there’s more to an offensive and defensive lineman than blocking and tackling.
My go-to pregame song is “Count Me Out” by Lil Tecca. I left the rest of the teammate questions alone, which means nobody gets thrown under the bus and, for once, Clark doesn't get blamed for controlling the locker room music.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means pushing when times get tough. That’s something football has taught me, but it’s something that matters a lot more once you leave the field.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my uncle and my grandma. They’ve been there for me during some of my darkest moments. When things weren't easy, they were people I could count on to be there, and I’ll never forget that. Their support has helped me keep moving forward, and I’m grateful to have them in my life.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is our coaches. I’ve played football for five years, and one of the biggest things the game has taught me is toughness. You learn to work hard, keep going and do your job even when things aren’t easy.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the band. There’s just something about having them there that adds to the atmosphere and makes Friday nights feel like Friday nights.
The person who has had the biggest influence on me is my dad. He has always supported me and been there for me from the start. One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of actually happened away from football, I bought my truck on my own. I worked for it, earned it and was able to do it myself, and that means a lot to me.
Outside of football, I compete in powerlifting. My teammates would probably describe me as hardworking, although there’s definitely another side of the locker room.
Jack Mathew Jewitt gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, Manny Flores is the guy I’m not letting date my sister, and Clark controls the locker room music. Clark also talks the most trash at practice and gets my vote for most likely to become famous, so apparently Clark stays pretty busy.
If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’m taking Zarek with me. He’s also my pick to survive the longest in a zombie apocalypse. If football wasn’t an option, apparently I’d be taking my talents to badminton.
And something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me? I’m Diamond 1 in Siege.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means you’re a family.
As I go into my senior year, there’s one person I especially want to thank my dad. He’s been there since the very beginning and has always supported me. No matter what I’ve been doing, I’ve known he was behind me, and that has meant more to me than I can put into words.

I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the team bonding. You spend enough time working, sweating and going through everything together, and eventually those relationships become one of the best parts of playing the game.
My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the energy. There’s just something different when the lights are on, the stands are full and everybody is ready for football.
Old Man Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player. He’s taught me almost everything. One of the biggest lessons football has taught me is the discipline it takes to be successful. You don't just show up one day and become good at something. You have to keep showing up, doing the work and giving everything you have.
Making varsity is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of, and my teammates would probably describe me as determined.
Now for the important stuff.
Ethan Martinez gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, but apparently he's also one of the biggest trash talkers at practice. Clark controls the locker room music, which may officially be the most unanimous answer on this entire questionnaire.
And Alex Lail?
Absolutely not dating my sister.
Before games, I pray, and my go-to pregame song is “I Hate Everything About You” by Three Days Grace. After the game, I'm headed straight for a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito from Taco Bell.
If football wasn't an option, I wouldn't pick another normal high school sport.
I'd dominate NASCAR.
If I were stranded in the middle of nowhere, I’d want Rylan Burch beside me. Riot Sullivan is my pick for most likely to become famous, and if the zombie apocalypse ever happens, I'm putting my money on Cross Littlejohn to make it the longest.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means giving everything you have at everything you do. Football has taught me that success takes discipline, determination and the willingness to keep going when things get difficult.
For my senior shout-out, I want to recognize Rylan Burch. He’s one of the most dedicated and committed players on our team. Everything he does, he gives 100 percent. When you spend this many years playing football, you notice the guys who consistently show up, put in the work and give everything they have. Rylan is one of those guys, and I have a lot of respect for the way he carries himself and the way he works.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is growing as a family with friends I’ve known for years. After four years of playing football, that’s probably the biggest thing the game has taught me; this is your family.
Friday nights at Tiger Stadium are special because of the loyal fans and the community we have behind us. There’s a lot of support for Glen Rose football, and being able to play in front of that crowd is one of my favorite parts of being a Tiger.
Coach Pair has had the biggest influence on me as a player. He taught me that it’s better to mess up going full speed than to mess up because you gave bad effort. That’s something I try to carry with me every time I’m on the field.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is being named Defensive Newcomer of the Year my sophomore year. Outside of football, I compete in powerlifting and I’m involved in HOSA.
If you asked my teammates to describe me, they’d probably say I’m loud. Clark is the one who controls the music in the locker room, but we can all add to the playlist. And if I had to pick one teammate to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with, I’d pick Judd. I’ve known him since he got here, so that’s who I’m going with.
At the end of the day, being a Glen Rose Tiger means one thing to me:
Being tough.

I’ve been playing football for 10 years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the family that gets built within the team. You spend so much time working, practicing and competing together that the guys around you become more than just teammates.
Friday nights at Tiger Stadium are special because of the energy from the crowd. When the stands are full and everybody is behind us, you can feel it on the field.
My mom has always been my biggest influence when it comes to sports. She’s always there supporting me, and having someone who consistently shows up for you makes a bigger difference than people realize.
One of the biggest things football has taught me is that no matter what gets thrown at you, you have to keep fighting. Things aren’t always going to go the way you planned, in football or in life, and you have to be willing to keep going.
One accomplishment I’m really proud of is becoming a dual-sport varsity athlete as a sophomore. Along with football, I play basketball, which I guess makes sense when you’re 6'7".
My teammates would describe me as funny and outgoing, and I agree with at least half of that. Who’s the funniest guy on the team? Me, obviously. I don't really see how that question was necessary.
Before games, my ritual is pretty simple. I pray. It gives me a chance to get my mind right before going out on the field.
Clark controls the locker room music, and apparently I have a lot of confidence in his future because he’s also my pick for most likely to become famous. My boy’s going pro.
There is also one man who needs to stay away from my sister: Logan Hammer. Nothing personal, Logan. Actually, maybe it is.
After a game, forget the usual burger or chicken strips. Give me fettuccine Alfredo.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means supporting the people around you. Football is a team game, and being a Tiger means knowing the guy beside you has your back, and making sure he knows you have his.

My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the fans. There’s a lot of support behind Glen Rose football, and getting to play in front of that crowd is something special.
One of the biggest things football has taught me is finding a way to get things done. Things aren't always going to go according to plan, so sometimes you just have to figure it out, keep working and find a way.
One accomplishment I’m especially proud of is making varsity. That was something I had to work for, and earning the opportunity to be part of the varsity team meant a lot to me.
Outside of football, I work at Camp Arrowhead. I left most of the teammate questions unanswered, which is probably the smartest decision anyone on this team has made so far. Nobody gets thrown under the bus, nobody gets banned from dating anybody’s sister, and Clark finally gets a break from being blamed for everything in the locker room.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my parents. They’ve always been there for me, especially during the times when I’ve needed them the most. I’ve been playing football for five years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is getting to play alongside my friends and experiencing everything that comes with being part of this program. My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is seeing all the fans who come out to watch us and feeling the support they give us.
Luke Boyett has had the biggest influence on me as a player. He has a really good work ethic, and he’s also been a good workout partner. Being around somebody who works hard pushes you to work harder yourself.
That goes along with one of the biggest things football has taught me: if you work hard enough, there’s always a way. Even when the outcome doesn't look ideal, you keep working until you figure something out.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making varsity. Knowing that I earned the opportunity to be part of the varsity team made all the work worth it.
Outside of football, I’m involved in powerlifting and like hanging out with my friends. My teammates would probably describe me as quiet most of the time, but when I’m comfortable, apparently that changes pretty quickly.
Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me?
I’m actually very talkative.
So either my teammates haven't figured that out yet, or Tiger fans are getting a completely different version of me.
I didn't answer many of the teammate questions, but I did answer one of the questions that apparently matters most on this team:
Manny is not dating my sister.
Sorry, Manny. You’re joining a growing list.

What I love most about playing football for Glen Rose is the coaching staff and the program. I’ve been playing football for six years, and this program has taught me a lot, but one of the biggest things I’ll take with me after high school is discipline.
Friday nights at Tiger Stadium are special because of the amount of people who come out to support us. Looking up and seeing that many people in the stands behind our team is something you don’t take for granted.
My dad has probably had the biggest influence on me because he’s always pushed me to do the best I can. One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is making it to regionals in powerlifting. Along with football and powerlifting, I work at Simple Simon’s, and something people might not expect from a 6'2", 240-pound right guard is that I really love to bake.
My teammates would probably describe me as fat. Their words? No. Mine.
Carson Lee Mills gets my vote for funniest guy on the team and is also the guy I’d want with me if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere. Manny Flores is absolutely not dating my sister. Clark controls the locker room music, talks the most trash at practice and is my pick for most likely to become famous. If the zombie apocalypse hits, though, I’m putting my money on Zarek Bell.
I also have a very specific pregame ritual. I have to listen to “Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills” by Pantera, and I stop it exactly eight seconds before the song ends. Why eight seconds? That’s just how it has to be.
If football wasn’t an option, I think I’d dominate wrestling. And when the game is over, my ideal postgame meal is a burger, but not just a burger. I put chicken strips between the buns, too. Apparently an offensive lineman’s work is never finished.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means toughness.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom. She has fed me, taken care of me and been there for me my entire life. She always makes sure there’s an amazing dinner on the table, and that’s one of those things that’s easy to take for granted until you realize how much love and work goes into it. I’ve been playing football for four years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the community. My favorite part of Friday nights at Tiger Stadium is the energy. When the stands are full and everybody is behind us, you can feel it on the field.
Cooper Hernandez has had the biggest influence on me as a player because when I moved to Glen Rose, he made me feel like I was part of the team. Coming into a new place isn't always easy, and having somebody make sure you feel like you belong can make all the difference.
One of the biggest things football has taught me is that you’re not going to be great on your first try. It takes reps and it takes time. You have to be willing to struggle with something, keep working at it and trust that you're going to get better.
That’s a lesson I’ve carried into powerlifting, too. One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is competing at state in powerlifting. My teammates would probably describe me as strong, which at 6'1", 295 pounds and a state-level powerlifter is probably a pretty safe description.
I didn't answer many of the teammate questions, but I did make sure everybody knows what really matters after a football game:
Taco Bell Stackers.
Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I play guitar. So somewhere underneath the 295-pound nose tackle is apparently a musician.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means FAW; Find A Way. You aren't going to get everything right the first time. You put in the reps, keep working and find a way to get better.
As I go into my senior year, I especially want to thank my mom. She basically got my sister and me to Glen Rose by herself while my dad was working. I know that took a lot from her, and I’m thankful for everything she did to get us here and give us the opportunities we have now. Moving to Glen Rose gave me a team, a community and a place where I feel like I belong, and I know she played a huge part in making that possible.

I’ve been playing football for 10 years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is getting the chance to represent my school. There’s a lot that comes with putting on a Glen Rose uniform, and Friday nights at Tiger Stadium are hard to beat. For me, it’s the atmosphere that makes them special.
Football has taught me that whatever I’m doing, I need to give it 100% effort. Whether it’s on the field or something completely outside of football, there’s no point in doing something halfway. That’s something I’ll carry with me long after high school.
The person who has had the biggest influence on me is my brother. He’s taught me things I probably never would have realized or done on my own, and having someone like that to learn from has made a big difference in the person I’ve become.
Outside of school, I do lawn care, which means apparently blocking defensive linemen all week isn’t enough physical labor for me.
I didn’t answer many of the teammate questions, but I did make one thing very clear. The question asked who I wouldn’t let date my sister.
My answer?
“I would not let Clark Anderson date my daughter.”
So Clark somehow managed to get rejected from a family that doesn’t even exist yet. That might be the strongest answer on the questionnaire.
After 10 years of playing the game, when I’m asked what being a Glen Rose Tiger means to me, I don’t really need a long explanation.

I’ve been playing football for six years, and what I love most about playing for Glen Rose is the support from the community. You see it everywhere, but there’s nothing quite like experiencing it on a Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
My favorite part is running out of the tunnel. Actually, my pregame ritual is leading the team out, so getting to be at the front when we hit the field is something I look forward to every Friday night.
My dad has had the biggest influence on me because he’s always pushed me to play to the best of my ability. Football has taught me a lot, but one thing I know I’ll carry with me is discipline. You have to show up, put in the work and do what you're supposed to do whether you feel like it or not.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is earning college football offers. Knowing there are programs that see something in me and are giving me an opportunity to continue playing after high school means a lot. Outside of football, I also compete in powerlifting and track.
My teammates would probably describe me as funny and dumb. I’m not going to argue with their assessment.
Now, judging by everybody else’s bios, apparently I need to clear some things up.
Yes. I control the locker room music.
At this point, I’m pretty sure that’s been independently verified by half the football team.
Zane gets my vote for funniest guy on the team, and he’s also who I’d want beside me if I were stranded in the middle of nowhere. Gage is not dating my sister. Judd gets my vote for most likely to become famous, and if someone is talking the most trash at practice, there’s a pretty good chance it’s me.
Zombie apocalypse?
Also me.
If I weren’t playing football, I’d dominate basketball. My go-to pregame song is “Green Dot,” and after a game I’m going with Chick-fil-A. Something most Tiger fans probably don’t know about me is that I really enjoy golfing and fishing.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means finding a way. There are going to be times when things aren't easy or don't go according to plan. You don't make excuses. You figure out what needs to be done and find a way to do it.
As I go into my senior year, there’s one coach I especially want to thank: Coach Alexander. Even though he isn't at Glen Rose anymore, he had one of the biggest impacts on me. He taught me things about life, not just football, and that’s what made him one of my favorite coaches. The football lessons matter, but having a coach who helps shape the person you become is something that sticks with you long after they're no longer standing on the sideline.
