Cheer may be a newer part of my journey, but it has already given me so many great memories. One of the things I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is bringing energy wherever we go. One of the coolest feelings is looking into the stands and seeing little girls watching us and copying our cheers. Knowing they look up to us makes being on the sidelines even more special.
One of my favorite cheer memories so far is performing our cheer on the last day of camp. It was such a fun moment with my teammates and one that really stands out to me. When it comes to game day, my favorite dance is “Land of a Thousand.” I love the energy and excitement that comes with performing and cheering on the Tigers.
Someone who has had a big influence on me is Kailyn. I admire how hard she works and how, even when she’s hurting, she continues to push herself and give her best. Seeing that kind of determination inspires me to work harder too.
Outside of cheer, a huge part of my life is band, especially drum line. I’m really proud of how far I’ve come and how much my skills have progressed. Being able to look back and see how much I’ve improved is something that means a lot to me.
If you asked my teammates to describe me, they would probably tell you two things pretty quickly: I’m energetic and I can be LOUD! I love bringing that energy to the people around me. Something that instantly puts me in a good mood is when someone matches my energy — even if we aren’t close friends. I love being around people who are willing to have fun, get excited, and bring the same energy I do.
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing off your pride! Whether I’m cheering on the sidelines or performing with the drum line, I’m proud to represent Glen Rose and bring as much energy as I can while doing it.
Cheer has already become another special way for me to show my Tiger pride, make memories, and be part of something bigger than myself. I’m excited for all the memories still ahead — and you can count on me to bring the energy and get LOUD for Glen Rose!

This is my first year as a Glen Rose cheerleader, but I came into it with three years of dance experience. What I’ve loved most about cheer is getting the chance to be more involved with the community and represent Glen Rose alongside a group of girls who have made this first year a memorable one.
So far, cheer camp has easily been my favorite memory. But some of my favorite parts of cheer are actually the simple things, like getting ready together before games and just spending time with the girls. Those are the moments that may not happen in front of a crowd, but they end up being some of the best memories.
My parents have had the biggest influence on me because they’ve always pushed me to be the best I can be. They’ve given me opportunities, taught me important lessons and encouraged me to keep growing.
Something I’m especially proud of is something a lot of people may never realize about me. English wasn't my first language, and I had to learn it at a young age. It’s something I’m proud of because I know the work it took to get where I am today.
Outside of cheer, I’m also involved in HOSA, and my teammates would probably describe me as kind and positive. I try to bring that attitude with me wherever I go, although there is apparently one phrase everybody around me is guaranteed to hear sooner or later:
“Miss girl…”
At this point, if you spend enough time around me, you're probably going to become “miss girl” whether you planned on it or not.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing good sportsmanship no matter what sport you're representing. It means being involved, supporting the people around you and representing your school and community the right way.
As I finish my senior year, I especially want to thank my parents. They’ve given me the opportunities that have allowed me to be where I am today, but more importantly, they’ve taught me lessons that I'll carry long after high school is over. I hope they know how much I appreciate everything they have done for me and how much I love them.
I wouldn't be where I am without them.

I’ve been a cheerleader for two years, and one of my favorite things about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is getting to spend so much time with my team. Between practices, game days, and everything in between, we’re always making memories and finding something to laugh about. Honestly, some of my favorite cheer memories aren’t from one big moment, they’re just all the fun practices and random moments with my teammates that make cheer so much fun.
Game days are always exciting, but I especially love our spirit days and getting to dress up with everyone. There’s just something fun about seeing everyone get into it and showing off our Tiger pride!
Someone who has made a big impact on me is Catalina S. She’s always there when I need her, whether I need help with school, cheer, or just someone I can count on. Having someone like that in my life means a lot to me.
When I’m not cheering, I’m involved with my church and I take kickboxing classes. Kickboxing is something I’m really proud of and probably something people wouldn’t expect about me! I love being around people and making new friends, and my teammates would probably tell you that I’m pretty easy to become friends with. I also love to laugh, and being able to joke around and have a good time with my friends can instantly put me in a better mood.
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger is about more than just wearing red and white. It means taking pride in your school, working hard in your academics, supporting the people around you, and showing your Tiger spirit wherever you go. I’m proud to be part of it, and I’m excited for all the memories still to come!

This is my first year as a Glen Rose cheerleader, and one of the things I’ve noticed and loved most is how everyone supports everyone, no matter what environment we’re in. Whether it’s practice, game day or somewhere completely outside of cheer, that support for each other is always there.
I may be new to cheer, but I already have a favorite:
B-E-A-T!
There are probably going to be a lot of new memories made during my first season, but getting to experience all of it with people who support each other is what I'm looking forward to most.
Bryar has had the biggest influence on me because she’s not only one of my best friends, she’s also the kind of person who helps everyone, no matter when or where we are. She always makes me laugh, and she has been a big part of my life. Having a friend who can make things fun while also being somebody you know will be there when you need them is pretty special.
Something people may not know about me is just how much I love band. I’m a section leader, lead alto in jazz band, and I have a solo in this year’s marching show. Outside of cheer, I’m also involved in jazz and art, so there’s a pretty good chance that if I'm not cheering, you'll still find me doing something creative.
My teammates would probably describe me as understanding and hardworking. Being new to a team means learning a lot, but it also gives you the opportunity to bring something of your own to it.
And there are three things that can pretty much instantly put me in a good mood:
Hamilton. Pitch Perfect. Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
I don't just watch them, either. I love to talk about them and sing them.
So if you spend enough time around me, there is a very real possibility you're eventually getting a performance whether you asked for one or not.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing up for everyone and everything. It means supporting the people around you, being there when you're needed and taking pride in being part of something bigger than yourself.
For my first year as a Glen Rose cheerleader, that seems like a pretty good place to start.

After six years in cheer, Joryn Dillard has collected plenty of memories, but some of her favorites have come from simply being alongside her friends and supporting the people she goes to school with every day. Friday nights are a big part of that. For Joryn, there is something special about cheering with her friends, supporting her classmates and being part of everything that makes a Glen Rose game night what it is.
One memory that stands out came away from the football field, when Joryn and her friends traveled to Lubbock to cheer on the Tigers during the basketball playoffs. Spending the weekend together and getting to support Glen Rose on a big stage made it an experience she won't forget. On football game days, though, her favorite moment comes when the cheerleaders line the tunnel and welcome the Tigers onto the field.
Her parents have been the biggest influence in her life, teaching her to work toward becoming the best version of herself and to recognize the opportunities she's given. That approach has certainly carried over into cheer. One accomplishment people may not know about Joryn is that she has earned the All-American Award every year she has tried out.
Joryn is also part of the Lady Tiger Volleyball program, so you'll find her representing Glen Rose on the court as well as the sidelines. Her teammates would probably describe her as the one who is always smiling or laughing, with a bubbly personality that follows her wherever she goes.
Of course, Joryn admits there is another title her teammates might give her. If they were handing out superlatives, she's pretty confident she'd walk away with Most Clumsy. Six years of cheer apparently haven't fixed everything.
As Joryn finishes her final high school cheer season, she gives a special shoutout to her sister for always supporting her and being such an important role model in her life.
For Joryn, being a Glen Rose Tiger comes back to something bigger than any individual sport or activity. It means “being a community and supporting one another.”

I’ve been a cheerleader since I was three years old, so cheer has been part of my life for about as long as I can remember. One of the things I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader now is having the opportunity to be a positive role model for the younger girls who are looking up to us. I was once one of those little girls watching the older cheerleaders, and now getting to be on the other side of that is pretty special.
After this many years of cheer, you collect plenty of memories. Some are meaningful, some are exciting, and apparently some involve laughing so hard during stunts that I’ve almost peed my pants.
Maybe we’ll just call that team bonding.
One of my favorite traditions happens before we ever step onto the competition mat. I love when we’re all together listening to music before competition. There’s something about those last few minutes together, getting excited, calming the nerves and feeding off each other’s energy before it's time to perform.
My parents have had the biggest influence on the person I’ve become. They’ve always taught me to lead with my heart and treat people the way I want to be treated. That’s something I try to carry into cheer, school, work and the way I treat the people around me.
Something I’m especially proud of that people may not know is that I’ve taken multiple dual credit classes and passed all of them with A’s. My teammates would probably describe me as a leader, smart and funny.
They would also tell you my back always hurts.
Apparently Glen Rose Cheer may need to consider adding a chiropractor to the coaching staff.
When I'm not doing something cheer related, I spend most of my time working at 7 Brew. And after a long day, something that can immediately put me in a better mood is pretty simple: seeing my friends. The people around me have always been one of the most important parts of my cheer experience, and those friendships are what make all the practices, competitions and Friday nights even better.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing good sportsmanship in everything you do. It’s representing your school the right way, treating people well and remembering that younger Tigers may be watching the example you're setting.
As I finish my last high school cheer season, there is one person I especially want to thank: Meghan Murphy.
Meghan has been beside me through some of the toughest times in my life, and through all of it, she has continued to treat me with the warmest heart. She has supported me, encouraged me and made a difference in my life that goes far beyond cheer.
The truth is, she is the reason I’m still cheering today.
After starting cheer when I was three years old, making it all the way to my senior season means a lot to me, and Meghan is a big reason I get to finish this chapter doing something that has been part of my life for so long.
I wouldn't be where I am today without her, and I hope she knows how much that means to me.

I’ve been cheering since the third grade, so I’m going into about nine years of cheer. What I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is the leadership that comes with it. We’re expected to lead when we're on the field or competition mat, but that responsibility doesn't stop when the uniform comes off. We’re called to set an example academically and personally too, and that’s something I take seriously.
One of my favorite memories goes all the way back to my freshman year. Before competition, we designated a song that we would play to bring up the energy before going onto the mat. Somehow that one song stuck, and years later we still play it at almost every fun practice. Something that started as a freshman year competition tradition has now followed us all the way through my senior year, which makes it even more special.
Then there’s one Glen Rose tradition that is definitely hard to explain to somebody from another school:
The pickle.
It’s my favorite tradition because it’s such a unique part of Glen Rose cheer, and I haven't seen another school do anything quite like it. Sometimes the traditions that make the least sense to everybody else are the ones that mean the most to the people who are part of them.
The biggest influence in my life is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My faith shapes the person I want to be, the way I treat people and the example I try to set for others.
Something I’m also really proud of is my grades. I’ve always taken responsibility for staying on top of my academics without needing someone else to push me. Outside of cheer, I’m involved in NHS and track and field, so learning how to balance everything and still hold myself to a high standard is important to me.
My teammates would probably describe me as a leader, or maybe the “mom” of the team. I’m okay with either one. I care about the people around me, and one of the things that can instantly put me in a good mood is when we all have a chance to simply sit down and talk together. We’ve made team bonding a priority this year, and I think you can see the results in how close this team has become. Those relationships matter, and I know they're going to be some of the things I miss most.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing sportsmanship and kindness at school and away from school. Representing Glen Rose isn't something that only happens under the Friday night lights. It’s how you carry yourself and how you treat people wherever you are.
As I finish my last high school cheer season, there is one person I especially want to recognize: Brant Knox.
Wisdom almost seems like too small of a word to describe Brant. He has become like a grandfather to me, but he’s also my friend. Even during times when his own health hasn't been the best, he has continued to put me and my family before himself. To me, he is an example of what unconditional love looks like, and that is something I will always cherish.
He may live four hours away now, but he still asks about my Friday nights as if he were sitting right there in the stands cheering me on.
As I get older, I hope I can carry some of what he has shown me into my own life. If I can grow to be as kind, intelligent and caring as Brant, I’ll know I'm doing something right.
Thank you, Brant, for loving me and my family the way you do. Distance hasn't changed the impact you've had on my life, and it never will.

Cheer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I started Pee-Wee Cheer in first grade, cheered all the way through fifth grade, continued through junior high, and now I’m going into my junior year of high school. This will be my 11th year as a cheerleader, and looking back, it’s crazy to think about how much of my life has been spent doing something I love!
What I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is all the friendships and memories I’ve made along the way. There is just something special about Friday Night Lights, standing on the sidelines with your teammates, cheering for your school, and getting to be part of that atmosphere. Those are memories I know I’ll carry with me long after high school.
One of my favorite memories happened when it started absolutely POURING during a game. We were all trying to figure out any possible way to stay dry, but at the same time, we never stopped cheering for our team. We were soaked, laughing, and still doing what we were there to do. It ended up being one of those nights I know I’ll never forget!
One of my favorite game-day traditions actually happens before the game even begins. On Friday mornings, I get to open car doors at the elementary school, and I especially love it because I get to spend that time with my mom and all the little kids. Seeing how excited they are when the cheerleaders are there always makes me smile because I remember being their age and feeling the exact same way. Now I get to be one of those cheerleaders they look forward to seeing, which makes it even more special.
Someone who has had a huge influence on me is Addison Phegley. She is one of my best friends and someone I know I can always count on. Whether I need help with a cheer or something completely outside of cheer, she is always willing to help without hesitation. She’s sweet, confident, outgoing, a great leader, and an amazing cheerleader. I truly believe she is a gift from God, and I’m so thankful to have her in my life.
Cheer has also helped shape me into the person I am today. I used to be much more shy and not nearly as outgoing. Over the years, I’ve become stronger, sharper, and much more confident in myself. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and how cheer has pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
Outside of cheer, I stay pretty busy with Lady Tiger Volleyball and Track. My teammates would probably describe me as someone they can always come talk to, no matter what is going on. I try to bring a lot of energy and positivity to the team, but I’m definitely goofy too! Apparently, I’m also known for randomly dancing, especially doing my “coffee grinder”, and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll hear me ask, “Wait, what cheer are we doing?”
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being there for your teammates and your community, treating people with respect, showing kindness, and always having Tiger spirit. After all these years of cheer, Glen Rose is so much more than just the name across my uniform. It represents the people, friendships, memories, and traditions that have helped make me who I am today.

I’ve been a cheerleader for four years, and what I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is getting the opportunity to have a positive impact on our community, especially on the younger girls who are watching us. They look up to us more than we probably realize, and I love getting to be someone who can hopefully set a good example for them.
Some of my favorite cheer memories are actually from competition days, especially playing our hype songs before we compete. There’s something about everybody getting excited together right before it’s time to go out there that makes those moments so much fun.
On Friday nights, though, my favorite part has to be the drum line playing on the sideline. There’s already so much energy on game day, but when the drum line gets going right there beside us, it takes it to another level.
Avery Guptill has had the biggest influence on me because everything she does is done with purpose. That's something I really admire about her. There’s a difference between simply going through the motions and being intentional about the way you live, work and treat people.
Something people may not know about me is that I’m taking all dual-credit classes, which I’m really proud of. Outside of cheer, I’m also involved in FCA and Pi. My teammates would probably tell you that I know how to have a good time, so apparently I’ve figured out how to balance all of it.
And if I'm ever in a bad mood, there’s a pretty easy solution.
George Strait.
Pretty much any George Strait song will do it, but “Here for a Good Time” is especially hard to beat. The title alone seems pretty appropriate for me.
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being proud of everything and everyone in our community. Glen Rose gives us so much support, and getting the opportunity to represent this community is something I’m proud of.
As I finish my final high school cheer season, I especially want to thank Mrs. Pair. She has helped me through so much over the last couple of years and has always pushed me to become the best version of myself. Having someone who cares enough to support you while still expecting the best from you makes a difference, and I’m thankful for the impact she has had on me.

This is my first year being Tuffy, and what I love most about it is getting the opportunity to cheer and represent Glen Rose in my own way. Becoming Tuffy is something I’m especially proud of because it took me outside of my comfort zone and gave me the chance to do something I honestly never thought I’d have the courage to do.
One of my favorite memories so far has been seeing little kids smile when they see Tuffy. There’s something special about watching them get excited when the Tiger comes around, and knowing I get to be the person inside that costume creating those moments makes the experience mean even more to me.
My mom has had the biggest influence on me because she encourages me to do things even when I’m not sure I’m brave enough to do them. She pushes me to believe in myself and try anyway. Becoming Tuffy is a perfect example of that. I found the courage to do something new, and I did it for myself and for her.
I’m naturally a shy person, but I also think my teammates would describe me as kind. If they gave me a superlative, I think I’d probably win Most Kind, and that means a lot to me. Being Tuffy gives me a chance to let another side of my personality come out and connect with people even when I might normally be a little quiet.
Outside of cheer, I love drawing and photography. I enjoy being creative, whether that’s putting something on paper or getting behind my camera and capturing something through a photograph. If I could have dinner with anyone, I’d choose my grandpa, and someone who can always put me in a good mood is my best friend.
If my life had a theme song, I’d choose “Bones” by Imagine Dragons.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing that you're proud to be part of your school. That’s what I hope I’m doing every time I put on the Tuffy costume.
This year has already taught me something about myself. I may be shy, but that doesn't mean I can't be brave. Sometimes you just have to find the courage to try something you never thought you could do, and I’m proud that I did.

This will be my fourth year cheering, and my absolute favorite part of being a Glen Rose cheerleader is our Mini Pom Squad. I love getting to spend time with my littles and watching how excited they are to be part of the Tiger family. A special shout-out to Remi, my little this year, and Collins, my little from last year. Seeing that excitement in them reminds me of one of the reasons I wanted to become a Glen Rose cheerleader myself.
There are a lot of cheer memories I could choose from, but one of my favorites happened during a home football game last year when we cheered in the rain. There was just something extra special about that night. The die-hard fans and football parents stayed in the stands, our Tigers kept playing on the field, and we stayed right there with them on the sidelines. It’s one of those nights that reminds you what Glen Rose is all about.
That’s also why one of my favorite parts of game day is when the Mini Pom Squad gets to come out and cheer with us. Watching those little girls get so excited to perform in front of the crowd with their friends and their “big” cheerleaders is pretty special. We get to be role models for them, but I don't think they realize how much fun they bring to us too.
Some of the people who have had the biggest influence on me are from StoneWater Church in Glen Rose, especially Ty, Trinity and Ethan. They’ve helped me become more confident in myself and grow in my relationship with God. I can't even count the number of times they’ve been there for me, and their influence has made a real difference in my life.
Something people may not know about me is that I made it to Summer Nationals in pole vault this year and placed first in my group. Pole vault is a big part of my life outside of cheer. I compete for GRHS and The T Pole Vault Club, run track, and I’m also involved in FFA and FCA. I help with the kids ministry at StoneWater, love drawing, spending time with my family and friends, and pretty much anything that gets me outdoors.
If you ask the teammates who know me best to describe me, apparently you're going to get a pretty interesting combination:
Resting brat face, a huge heart, and just enough adrenaline junkie to keep things fun.
I feel like that covers a lot of ground.
Something, or maybe I should say someone, who can instantly put me in a good mood is my boyfriend. He’s always there cheering me on and knows how to put a smile on my face. A close second is a good song. Sometimes you just need to turn the music up, forget about everything else for a minute and enjoy it.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being part of a family that supports each other, works hard and takes pride in our school and our community. Whether it’s a packed stadium on a perfect Friday night, a bunch of people refusing to leave when it starts pouring rain, or a little girl getting her chance to cheer in front of the crowd, that Tiger pride shows up in a lot of different ways.
And getting to be part of it is something I’m proud of.

This is my first year as a Glen Rose cheerleader, and what I’ve loved most about it is getting to be more involved with the school. Even though I haven't been cheering for years like some of the girls around me, it’s given me another way to be part of Glen Rose and experience my senior year.
I’ve already managed to make one memory that I probably won't forget anytime soon: breaking my mirror at UCA camp.
So apparently it doesn't take four years of cheer to create a story.
One of my favorite parts of game day is actually everything that happens before the game, getting ready together and taking pictures. It’s getting to spend that time with everyone that makes the experience fun and gives you memories outside of what happens on the sidelines.
Liv has had the biggest influence on me because she’s always kind to people and willing to help. I really admire the way she treats others, and that’s something worth looking up to.
Something I’m especially proud of that people may not know about me is being baptized. That’s an important moment in my life and something that means a lot to me.
Outside of cheer, I work and go to the gym. My teammates would probably describe me as a good listener and someone who is supportive. I like being somebody my friends know they can talk to and count on.
And since the questionnaire asked for a useless talent, I apparently have one ready to go:
I can do the wave with my tongue.
Is it useful? Absolutely not.
Is it now permanently part of my senior cheerleader bio? Unfortunately, yes.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means becoming a family. That’s probably one of the things I’ve appreciated most about getting involved in cheer this year, the relationships you build and the people you get to experience it with.
As I finish my first and last high school cheer season, I especially want to thank Nicole. She has made a difference in my life not only during cheer season, but outside of cheer too, simply by being a good friend. Having someone who is there for you beyond the uniform and the sidelines is what makes those friendships special, and I’m thankful she has been that person for me.

Cheerleading has been a big part of my life for seven years, going all the way back to Pee Wee cheer. Over the years, I’ve made so many memories, but what I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is traveling to support Glen Rose sports, competing with my team, and getting to experience it all with some of the people I love most.
One of my favorite memories happened during my freshman year at my very first competition as a varsity cheerleader. We competed at UCA Regionals and won first place! I’ll never forget the excitement of that moment and getting to celebrate it with my team. Another accomplishment I’m especially proud of is being nominated by my coaches and selected as an All-American Cheerleader. It was such an honor!
Friday night football games are also some of my favorite parts of cheer. If I had to choose one tradition I love most, it would definitely be “E-town,” a dance we do during the fourth quarter of every football game. It’s one of those traditions that just feels like Glen Rose to me.
The two people who have had the biggest influence on my life are my parents. They’ve taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and putting others before myself. They have always encouraged me to chase my goals while staying grounded in my faith and remembering that my character matters more than any award or title.
Outside of cheer, I barrel race in Region 3 Rodeo, and I’m also involved in National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. I love staying busy and being involved in things that challenge me and allow me to represent my school and community.
If you asked my teammates to describe me, I think they would probably say I’m always smiling and a joyful person to be around. And if there’s one person who can instantly put me in a good mood, it’s my best friend, Addison. She is such a joy in my life, and I absolutely love being around her.
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means giving your best, supporting the people around you, and representing Glen Rose with pride. I’m thankful for every memory, every competition, every Friday night, and every person who has been part of this journey. Being able to wear Glen Rose across my chest is something I’m incredibly proud of, and these are memories I’ll carry with me long after my cheerleading days are over.

I’ve been cheering for four years, and one of the things I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is getting to experience competition with my teammates. There’s something special about working together, pushing ourselves, and then getting the chance to compete as a team.
Some of my favorite cheer memories actually happen before practice even starts. We have a tradition where we share the “happy and crappy” part of our week, and I love getting that time together. It gives us a chance to talk, laugh, support each other, and just be teammates before it’s time to get to work.
When it comes to game day, my favorite tradition is doing the fight song every time our football team scores a touchdown. I love the excitement of Friday nights and getting to be part of the school spirit from the sidelines.
I would say my teammates have had the biggest influence on me in cheer. They encourage me to be excited, have fun, and keep pushing myself. They might also tell you that I’m stronger than I look—and I think I’ve proven that a few times! Something else people may not know about me is that I can do multiple back handsprings in a row, which is something I’m really proud of.
Right now, cheer is my number one priority, but I’m also thinking about getting involved in other sports, clubs, or hobbies. I like challenging myself and seeing what else I might enjoy.
And if I could have dinner with anyone? I’d have a hard time choosing between Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Aniston. Either way, I’m pretty sure it would be a hilarious dinner!
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means supporting more than just your own team. It means showing up for all of our organizations, encouraging each other, and being proud to represent Glen Rose. That support is part of what makes being a Tiger so special.

Cheerleading has been part of my life for three years, and what I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is getting to show how much I love my school and how proud I am to be a Tiger. Whether I’m on the sidelines, dancing, or cheering from the stands, I love getting to bring energy and show my Tiger pride.
Some of my favorite cheer memories aren’t necessarily the big moments, they’re the ones that make us laugh. One memory I’ll probably never forget is all the times I’ve tried (and failed!) to toss Goldfish and cereal into Catalina’s mouth. Apparently, accuracy is not one of my cheerleading skills! Those random moments with my teammates are some of the things that make cheer so much fun.
On game day, you’ll definitely see me getting excited when “Land of a Thousand” or “The Hey Song” comes on. Those are two of my favorite traditions and always bring out the energy in me.
My coaches have had one of the biggest influences on me. They genuinely care about me and have stayed by my side through both the good times and the bad. Having people who continue to encourage and support me no matter what is something I’m very thankful for.
When I’m not cheering, I stay pretty busy. I’m involved in FFA, tennis, GRFMC, and softball. I also have a talent people might not expect , I’m a really good face painter!
My teammates would probably describe me as funny and loud once you get to know me. I love laughing, having fun, and being myself around the people I’m close to.
And if I could sit down for dinner with absolutely anyone? I’d choose Pete Crow-Armstrong. No hesitation!
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being able to lift up the other Glen Rose Tigers. Tiger pride isn’t just about cheering for your school — it’s about supporting the people around you, encouraging them, and celebrating their successes.
That’s one of the things I love most about cheer: I get to be loud, have fun, make memories with my teammates, and help bring a little more Tiger pride everywhere I go.

I’ve been a cheerleader for five years, and one of the things I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is spending time with my team. Some of my favorite memories are simply the football games and everything that comes with them.
Honestly, though, some of the best parts happen before we ever get in front of the crowd. Getting ready with my friends before games is one of my favorite game-day traditions. Those are the little moments that probably don't seem like much at the time, but I know they’re some of the things I’ll miss most.
My mom has had the biggest influence on me because she always keeps me positive. No matter what is going on, she helps me look at things the right way and keep moving forward.
Outside of cheer, I’m involved in art and NHS. My teammates would probably describe me as funny, but there is also another side of me that most people may not expect.
I’m a huge space nerd.
So while everyone else is worried about what’s happening under the Friday night lights, there’s a decent chance I’m also interested in what’s happening several million light-years beyond them.
And if my life had a theme song, there really was only one appropriate choice:
“Best Day Ever” by SpongeBob SquarePants.
I'm not sure there’s a better combination than senior year, Friday night football, your best friends and SpongeBob providing the soundtrack.
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing up for the community that always shows up for us. Glen Rose supports us, provides for us and gives us so much to be proud of. Being a Tiger means giving some of that support back.
As I finish my last high school cheerleading season, I especially want to thank my dad. He always makes sure I feel special, and most importantly, he shows up for me. Knowing that I can look around and find him there supporting me has meant more than he probably realizes. As I finish this chapter of my life, I want him to know how much I appreciate every time he has been there and everything he has done to make me feel loved and important.

I cheered throughout most of my childhood, but this is my second year cheering in high school. Out of everything that comes with being a Glen Rose cheerleader, my favorite part has to be Friday night lights. There’s just something about Tiger Stadium on a Friday night that makes all the practices and preparation worth it.
One of my favorite cheer memories is also one of those things that probably makes a lot more sense if you were there: teaching Wren how to do the gallop in “Land of a Thousand Dances.” Apparently some skills require a little more coaching than others.
My favorite part of game day happens after we score a touchdown. We’re down in the end zone cheering and celebrating, then suddenly we realize we have to get all the way back in time for the fight song. So everybody takes off running while still celebrating. It’s chaotic, but that’s what makes it fun.
My mom has had the biggest influence on me because she’s one of the hardest-working people I know. She doesn’t give up when things get difficult, and watching her has taught me a lot about how I want to handle things in my own life.
Something people may not know about me is that I’m extremely proud of how clean and organized I keep my room. Maybe that isn't everybody’s idea of an accomplishment, but if you've ever seen some teenagers' rooms, I feel like it deserves recognition.
Outside of cheer, I’m involved in HOSA and NHS. My teammates, however, would probably tell you there are two things you can count on from me.
First, I’m always stressing about my hair.
Second:
“My back hurts.”
Apparently I say it enough that it has officially become part of my personality.
For me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means always going all out. Whether it’s cheering after a touchdown, running back for the fight song, supporting the team or representing Glen Rose, if you're going to do it, you might as well give it everything you have.

This is my fifth year as a cheerleader, and one of the things I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is getting to be surrounded by people who enjoy the same things I do. I love my teammates, our coaches, and the community that supports us. Glen Rose has a way of showing up for its students, and I love getting to represent a community that is always behind us.
One of my favorite cheer memories is winning first place at a UCA competition. There’s nothing quite like putting in all the practices and hard work with your teammates and then getting to experience a moment like that together. Hearing that we had won first place was such a cool feeling, and it’s definitely a memory I’ll never forget.
On game days, one of my favorite moments is kickoff. That’s when you can feel everyone start getting excited and the energy in the stadium really begins to build. We also have our own little tradition where we hold each other’s pinkies during kickoff. It might seem like a small thing, but those little traditions with my teammates are part of what makes Friday nights so special.
My sister has been the biggest influence on me, and someone else I’m incredibly proud of is my mom. My family means a lot to me, and I’m thankful for the people in my life who have helped encourage and support me along the way.
Outside of cheer, I stay busy with HOSA, NHS, and tennis. I think my teammates would describe me as someone who is easy to talk to and kind to everyone around me. However, if they were handing out superlatives, I’m pretty sure mine would be “Most Likely to Oversleep.” I have a bad habit of sleeping straight through my alarms, so apparently being full of Tiger spirit does not necessarily mean I’m a morning person!
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means being filled with energy and love for our community. It means supporting everyone, not just the activities you’re involved in, and being proud of the people and school you represent. That support is one of the things I love most about Glen Rose, and I’m proud that I get to be part of it.

Kambrie Shannon has been cheering since the first grade, and after all those years, what she loves most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is the sportsmanship and the bond she shares with her teammates. That closeness has become one of her favorite parts of cheer, and she especially looks up to this year's seniors. Kambrie says they have been a major influence on her because of the example they set and the way they show the younger girls what it truly means to be a Glen Rose cheerleader.
On game day, Kambrie's favorite cheer is “We Say,” and there's a pretty good chance you'll hear her whether she's leading that cheer or not. If her teammates were asked to describe her, Kambrie is fairly certain the words “loud” and “always talking” would come up quickly. There is even evidence to support the claim. Her funniest memory from cheer practice came when she was kicked out of the cheer circle for talking too much. Apparently, even cheerleaders have a volume limit, and Kambrie found it.
Away from cheer, something people may not know about Kambrie is that she comes from a huge family, which may explain where she learned that being heard sometimes requires a little extra effort. For Kambrie, being a Glen Rose Tiger ultimately comes down to commitment and being there when you're needed: “Being a Glen Rose Tiger means showing up for what you do.”

I’ve been a cheerleader for four years, and what I love most about being a Glen Rose cheerleader is the team spirit and unity we have. I love being part of a team where we can have fun together, support each other, and bring energy wherever we go.
One of my favorite cheer memories has to be doing the “Sexy Dexy” on the sidelines at Dunbar. It’s one of those random moments that just sticks with you and makes you laugh every time you think about it! On game days, though, nothing beats E-Town and the drumline. Those are the moments when the energy is high, everyone is excited, and you can really feel the Tiger spirit.
Someone I really look up to is Rylee. She’s always smiling, always sweet, and to me, she represents what a cheerleader should be. I try to bring that same kind of happiness to the people around me, and I think my teammates would probably say that I’m someone who is almost always happy.
Outside of cheer, I’m involved in FCCLA, and something people might be surprised to learn about me is that I can play the violin. It’s definitely a different side of me than what you normally see under the Friday night lights!
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would DEFINITELY be Harry Styles. I don’t even have to think twice about that one!
To me, being a Glen Rose Tiger means loving, serving, and leading. It means caring about the people around you, being willing to step up, and representing your school with pride. I love getting to be part of that and showing what Tiger spirit is all about!
