I love being a part of this community and a leader. What do my cheer sisters mean to me? Cheer sisters should have a close bond as teammates and also tight-knit connections. For Fans, I want them to loud and be spirited! COACHES! Our coaches love to make us feel uplifted and joke around with us even in harsh situations. They are a great team! My plan after graduation is to attend Baylor University and join their medical program. Hey everyone! I would just like to give a huge thank you to my parents and my loving friends who have helped me become the person that I am today. I love y’all so much!!

What does cheer mean to me? Being a cheerleader means being part of a group that supports and motivates. As a cheerleader, I love to promote school spirit and encourage crowd participation. It requires so much dedication, teamwork, and a positive attitude. My cheer-sisters are my family and I will lift them up when they are down and keep them positive. HEY FANS! I really need you to get loud! Let’s go! While we are cheering, I love how our coaches cheer US on and give us the spirit that we need to be our best cheerleader. I plan on going to Tarleton State University and cheering there. I would like to thank my entire family for helping me through my high school years and keeping me positive about everything that I have went through. I would also like to thank them for always supporting my decisions even if they didn't completely agree with them.

What does cheer mean to me? Being a cheerleader gives me an outlet to be myself. We're the people on the sidelines that not only add to the game, but to the feeling, the 'adrenaline,' to the game. My cheer sisters me the world to me. I grew up with the people I call my sisters all my life, even before cheer. So, I kind of have always had a bond with them. But as soon as I joined, it only made the sisterly bond stronger. Hey Glen Rose Fans! ALL of you cheer on your home team Tigers with your whole soul every game. It not only helps the cheerleaders, but it also helps the football players, even if you don't think it does. Let’s get rowdy! My coach, Meghan, has this quirk about messing up on her words and owning it, and I just love it. While Meaghan has ADD, she is constantly fiddling with her hair or her jewelry, but she does make amazing formations on the spot! I plan to go to college, specifically a JUCO then transfer, and go into physical therapy and kinesiology. I want to give a shout out to my mom and dad, because if they didn't help me through all the difficult times, I honestly wouldn't be doing cheer right now. They keep me in check when I'm trying to pack, whether it be for a game, camp, or just school. I appreciate them so much, and I hope she sees that. I love my mom and dad, and they have made me the person I am today.

I love leading the crowd and getting them pumped up. It brings me a sense of community involvement when I can help set an example of school spirit and enthusiasm in front of a stadium full of fans! What do my Cheer sisters mean to me? These sisters are always there whenever I need them. I can always count on them whether it’s pretty or ugly! I LOVE when we cheer “Are you proud to be a Tiger”. Hearing the mass response of Glen Rose “YES WE ARE” makes me so proud! COACHES One word….sarcasm!

Cheerleaders are the lifeline to spirit. Support, leadership, and the ability to persuade a crowd to STAND UP, is our biggest attributes. A cheerleader is someone who shows school spirit, is kind, loving, and builds others up. When standing in front of a crowd with a red and white uniform at a game, you are representing your town, your team and your community. You are there to inspire little kids and keep the spirit at a game. The cheer skirt does not define you; but the joy you spread while wearing it. What does the bond of Cheer-sisters mean to me? Cheer sisters should always be a group of girls that can trust and hold each other accountable to uphold class and respect for each other and those around us. A squad divided will fall. Our sisterhood and ability to understand one another is the only way to a successful program. HEY GLEN ROSE TIGERS FANS! You don't have a choice my senior year! Being a cheerleader to me means being a source of positivity and energy for everyone around me. We uplift and motivate the team and crowd. My cheer sisters mean the world to me, they are like my second family. We all have a bond built on trust. with each other. We hold each other accountable for all of our actions, while also being able to celebrate each other's successes. Something that the Meghan's always do, is they can make any awkward situation a funny one. Our first cheer practice as a team was very awkward because we didn't know each other that well. The Meghan's were able to make the gym feel like there was no type of tension between us and made it feel like a safe space.

What does Cheer mean to me? Being a cheerleader means to lead with a good attitude and a positive mindset while practicing and on the sideline. My purpose as a cheerleader is to always uplift people, and to be encouraging despite others attitude. My sisters! Cheer sisters are someone you can always rely on and look up to even if they are younger than you. Despite the things that happen outside of cheer you should always be able to trust them. My cheer coaches always know how to make light of a situation whether that’s making a joke or telling us stories of past cheerleaders. They can always put a smile on our face. Love these coaches!!

What does cheer mean to me? A cheerleader means one word, LEADER. We bring pride to our school organization. I believe we also bring integrity to our program with support for each other and not bringing people down. I also believe it’s not just about being a leader on the field, but also a leader in the classroom academically, and showing respect for others. What does Cheer mean to me? A cheerleader to me means leadership. We set the example for spirit, cheer, joy, and kindness. I would describe our purpose as loud, confident leaders of our school. Cheerleading means building a solid team and camaraderie with each other that holds together like glue. As cheerleaders, we spread leadership, positivity, and school spirit. What is Cheer? To me being a cheerleader means being able to be a positive influence to young children and showing love for our community. What's your favorite cheer? 2 bits 100% because it's my favorite tradition! MY COACHES: I love how they always let us joke with them and just truly allow us to be ourselves.

What does cheer mean to me? Being a cheerleader means that you have to be a good role model and glorify God in all of our actions. Our purpose is to represent our team and exemplify team spirit. In other words, cheerleaders are the spirit support system for the entire school. My cheer-sisters are the people I can go to for anything. I know that they will always have my back on the field and off the field. Hey Fans! Let’s start THE WAVE!! One thing Meghan does at almost every practice is switch up her lefts and rights. Sometimes just to make sure she’s right she’ll hold up her hands and look at her left and right tattoos for some reassurance. It always makes me laugh.

Being a cheerleader is much like being a big sister or being the leader. I would say our purpose is to create an environment of joy and cheer throughout the community as well as being the ones that the little kids look up to! My cheer sisters mean so much to me. I would count them as my actual sisters and trust them with anything. Meghan Murphy has L and R tattoos on her hands and has to look at them to know which direction to go. Meaghan Oates honestly just gives the best hugs. (we say mom hugs) Next year, plan to attend Texas Tech University in hopes of becoming a neonatal surgeon Mrs. Blair, thank you for being there and for being like my "at school" mom. You got me through my freshman year and the years to follow!

Being a cheerleader is making someone’s day, loving on little kids who look up to you, being a leader, and always having fun! I am so glad I have had the opportunity to cheer for Glen Rose since 7th grade! I love being a cheerleader knowing little ones are looking up to me and being a role model towards them. The relationship I have with my teammates is like no other. We are always lifting each other up and pushing each other to be better. My stunt group also has a special place in my heart because of all the hard work we put in and things we accomplish together! HEY FANS! Cheer and Yell with us! YOU GOT THIS! OUR COACHES! Meghan and Meaghan love to make funny and weird faces to make us smile while we are performing.

I take pride in the leadership it takes to Cheer. I love to spread kindness and spirit in our school! What do I think of my cheer-sisters? I have grown up and known most all of my cheer-sisters, so seeing them grow as people with me has been an amazing experience. What do I want from the fans of Glen Rose? I need an enthusiastic “two bits” from you!! I love the tradition of “two bits” and how much pride it brings out of our fans! COACHES I love how much I can joke around with my coaches; it makes the entire cheer experience a lot more fun.

To me, being a cheerleader means that we get everyone excited about school spirit, or anything that involves the school and sports. It also means that I get to shine God's light to everyone and lead them closer to Christ. My cheer sisters mean so much to me. All of them are very welcoming and kind to each other. What does Cheer mean to me? Being a cheerleader means getting loud, lots of smiles, and good sportsmanship. Cheer represents so much more than just a squad of smiling girls though. It’s the grind of competition, cheering when it’s hot, cold, windy, or wet. Cheer is smiling when it hurts and being cheerful when inside your not. Cheer is loving your community enough that no matter how you feel or how hard it is, you go on and cheer on! I want my cheer-sisters to all have the same energy as one another, trust, and support each other no matter how hard it gets! Hey Glen Rose fans, Stand up and cheer with us!! I believe being a cheerleader means supporting your school and your team. It's understanding a greater cause of spreading joy and spirit. My cheer sisters are a crucial part of the team and without them we wouldn’t have gotten to where we are now. We each hold each other together. Hey Fans! Stand up and cheer if you think Cheerleading, is a sport! MY COACHES Every time music starts playing Mrs. Murphy starts dancing and looks like she is having the time of her life. Mrs. Oates always photo bomb and it’s the funniest thing. Love these guys!

What does it mean to be a cheerleader? Cheerleaders must be confident in what they do and who they are. This means you must put yourself out there by being a leader, no matter how hard it is. Cheerleaders are individuals who are built to make other people happy by encouraging and motivating others through example. My cheer- sisters mean a lot to me. They are always there when I need someone to talk to and motivate me to do my best!! Hey Fans, what do I want? STAND UP AND HOLLER! We are GLEN ROSE!! Meagan Murphy is a really good coach because she’s pushes you really hard but also is really funny because she’s very sarcastic. Megan Oates is also a really great coach because she makes you work hard and pushes us to be our best. She is funny because she’s shorter than half the team.

To me, being a cheerleader, means my life. Cheerleading has raised me and shaped me into the person that I am today. It brings out my personality more than anything I've ever known, and it gives me the opportunity to be who I truly am. Our purpose is to lead our community with cheer, positivity, and fun. We are to walk around with kindness, compassion, and treat everyone as one. We show everyone that even in times of wins or losses, there is always room for cheer. My cheer sisters are some of the best people I've ever gotten the chance to know. They are some of the kindest, funniest, and most accepting people. They are the girls that I will always run to when I need a friend, a talk, or even just a silent hug. To me, cheer sisters hold one of the tightest bonds. We go through stressful times together, work hard together, and we're tired together. We encourage one another, we catch one another, we lift one another up, and we do things that a lot of people would never think about doing. My cheer sisters will always hold one of the dearest places in my heart, and they mean the absolute world to me. Hey Fans! Our coach, Meghan Murphy, is defined by her love for us girls and her passion for cheerleading. She pushes all of us to do our best, be our best, and feel our best, on and off the field or the court. She truly makes all of us feel like we are her daughters, and we can go to her about anything without ever being judged. Coach Meagan Oates is kind and has the ability to make all of us feel confident. My coaches are my best friends, and I will always be thankful for them allowing me to have a second chance and loving me just the same. Coach Meghan and Meagan, if you're reading this, I love you very much and "WE'RE GOING TO CANDY MOUNTAIN CHARLIE!!" After graduation, I plan to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Alabama, or the University of Florida and major in Marine Biology. I plan to try out for UCA Staff, (The Universal Cheerleaders Association,) as well as trying out for the cheer team at the college that I do end up committing to. My Junior and Senior year of high school, I took a break from competitive cheerleading, and my freshman year of college I will be going back until I age out, then I plan to coach a competitive team on the side. I have big plans coming up for the rest of my life after high school, and I can't wait to see where they take me. To my parents, thank you for being my biggest supporter and my best friends. I could not have made it this far in life without you. You two really are my favorite people, and I am so appreciative for all that you've done for me growing up. Thank you for always believing in me, and never letting me give up on my dreams. I know we've had our hard times in the past years, but I am thankful that I had the two of you by my side for all of it. I hope to make you proud this year, and all the years to come after I graduate. I love you more than you'll ever know. To the rest of my family, thank you for always showing me support, and love. There is no other family that I would rather be a part of, on either side. To Magnolia Athletic Company in Slidell, Louisiana, thank you for being the gym that raised me completely and being my home away from home. Thank you for teaching me to catch more flies with honey than vinegar. The staff and the girls at MAC will always hold one of the softest places in my heart. They got me through my toughest days, and genuinely were like mothers to me when I didn't have my mom there with me. They picked me up, and they turned me around, and changed my life. There will never be any amount of appreciation for them. To Coach Jeff Pair, thank you for every piece of advice that you have ever given me.

What role do cheerleaders have? Being a cheerleader means to me that I should be a role model to my peers and always stay positive and treat everyone with kindness. We are supposed to bring everyone’s mood up and motivate players to do their best. MY CHEER-SISTERS!
